CRAV

CRAVENDISH

Humour                     NOVELLA

Brayburn Welcomes Careful Drivers - Mostly.

Cravendish, a man standing barely over six foot six in his above average height, 43 and still living with his Mother - not out of choice, it has to be said - only ever wanted to be a Private Detective.  Trouble was he was stuck in Brayburn, this small seaside town still trapped somewhere in Edwardian Decor, containing a dignified bustle to everything.

Oh, he knew he was destined for more, even though his most notable cases to date were the Case Of The Missing Remote Control and the Great Robbery Of The Twenty-Five Pence By Rogers, The Butcher.

Then it happened.  That one, elusive, big case finally moved into view - the Cotes Family had lost the Cuffermund Diamonds, which were embedded in the collar of their pedigree cat’s collar - Rufus-Puss the Third.  And they are only slightly interested in the cat Ruffy, just as long as they got back those diamonds.  But it wasn't going to be that simple, as a handful of other incidents occur, and Cravendish finally has his destiny…
